New Home Performance Association

Efficiency First is a newly formed trade association dedicated to retrofitting exisitng homes to reduce energy consumption. It will represent home performance workers and companies including energy auditors, raters and weatherization contractors. The organization plans to work with policy makers at both the state and federal level, and is especially interested in accelerating President Barack Obama’s proposal to create 78,000 jobs by conducting home performance retrofits on 1 million homes during his first year in office.—Nina Patel
